Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elk County's Bowl For Kids Sake Success Again! On March 28th, 29th and 30th The Guidance Center hosted the 6th annual Bowl For Kids' Sake fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elk County. Olympic Lanes in St. Marys was filled with the sounds of 275 bowlers having fun and raising money for community based Big/Little matches. Bowl for Kids' Sake is the major fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elk County. Bowlers put together teams of 5-6 people and collected donations that help maintain current program matches. Teams enjoyed fun centered around a Luau theme, music and food. The money raised remains in Elk County and allows us to continue offering group activities throughout the year that otherwise would not happen. Financial support also helps to provide the professional case management staff that assess and screen the volunteers and monitor the matches as required by National Big Brother Big Sister standards.Prizes were awarded to the people who collected the most in donations. Baseball tickets, theme park tickets, zoo and ice arena tickets along with hats, food gift certificates, t-shirts and webkins were just a few of the items found in the top prize packages. First place winners from each flight were Josh Catalano, Kody Steis, Bruce Wehler, Amanda Reiter and Anne Stahli. Second place winners were Jessica O'Donnell, Jordan Adams, Bill Wolfe, Pam & Kim Love, and Grandinetti Elementary School. Kody Steis was the overall top pledge winner.
